After three days of bowls, Cheryle Bergevin was named second best in the region. The Central Saanich lawn bowler was among the women who played off in the Champ of Champs Ladies Lawn Bowls, hosted by the Victoria club, to seek the best ladies player, and best novice player of the season.
Bev Johnson of Vic West was named top ladies player while Peninsula player Bergevin finished second. In the novice division, for those who joined the sport this year, Norma Alison of Victoria was proclaimed winner while Suzanne Bailey of Gordon Head finished second.
