Choir supports palliative care
The St. Paul’s United Church Choir, with their special guest Shady Mountain, will be presenting A Musical Harvest, an evening of uplifting spiritual music, as a benefit for Palliative Care.
Proceeds from the concert will support the Palliative Care Unit at Saanich Peninsula Hospital. The unit, which has been in operation since October 2002, is a key part of Saanich Peninsula Hospital’s focus as a campus of care for seniors. Funds raised will help provide support, compassion and supplies to patients and their families.
Shades of Light will feature music from St. Paul’s United Church Choir, who have been entertaining Sidney and the Peninsula with their vocal stylings for more than 60 years. They are pleased to welcome special guests Shady Mountain Bluegrass group, from nearby Shady Creek United Church in Saanichton.
The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 23, at St. Paul’s United Church, 2410 Malaview Avenue, Sidney.
Tickets are $15 with children 12 and under admitted free.
Tickets are available from choir members, or from the church office at 250-656-3213.
