Ventilators will aid recoveries
The Victoria Hospitals Foundation is launching a fundraiser campaign to buy six new ventilators for hospital intensive care units.
The ventilators for Royal Jubilee Hospital and Victoria General Hospital will cost $375,000 for all six, and will help gravely ill or severely injured people recover faster.
The machines also help with treatment for people with H1N1, or human swine flu, said hospital officials.
