An Oak Bay man was pushed to the ground while on a walk with his partner last weekend.
A man who police determined has mental health issues approached the couple while they were walking in the 3500-block of Beach Drive around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Without warning he shoved the man then left the scene. The victim was not injured.
Police later found the assailant and took him to Eric Martin Pavilion mental health centre.
