Brentwood poet Kevin Paul is among five local writers nominated for Governor General's Literary Award honours.

His book of poems, Little Hunger, is nominated in the poetry category.

Other local finalists include Deborah Willis (fiction, Vanishing and Other Stories), Joan MacLeod (drama, Another Home Invasion), Robin Stevenson (children’s literature, text; A Thousand Shades of Blue) and Rachel Berman (children’s literature, illustration; Bradley McGogg,the Very Fine Frog).
