Acrylic painting tops Sidney affair
Oak Bay artist Marion Evamy Morrison received the top award – Best in Show – at the ninth annual Sidney Fine Arts Show.
Her 36” x 48” acrylic canvas, entitled “African Queen,” was selected from more than 1,200 juried submissions at an Oct. 15 awards ceremony attended by artists, patrons and supporters.
Her work will be featured during the month of November at Eclectic Gallery, 2170 Oak Bay Ave., in a solo exhibit entitled Way Ahead.
An artist’s reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, at Eclectic.
