The thousands of people who saw last month’s Symphony Splash know strings are in. But at this month’s Beltone Pop Series, vocal quintet Five by Design say they’re all about “making class cool again. One song at a time.”
Audiences can expect “signature harmonies, unforgettable melodies and swinging rhythms” from the international group when they open the series at the Royal Theatre Sept. 17-19 with Swingin’ and Singin.’
The Victoria Symphony expects this season to be biggest and brightest Pops series it has ever produced.
Led by Maestro Brian Jackson, the show includes entertainment elements for the first time.
Trombone soloist David Martin and soprano Rachel Landrecht will also showcase their talents.
“Our Beltone Pops series will bring Victoria audiences a quality experience, the best in entertainment,” said Symphony executive director, Mitchell Krieger.
