There's nothing like a good old-fashioned party to celebrate a momentous occasion, especially when Scotland is concerned.

The St. Andrew's and Caledonian Society is marking its 150th anniversary in Victoria with a Ceilidh tonight (Nov. 5) at Henderson Hall, 1632 Yale St. in Oak Bay.

Among first members of the society, the oldest of its kind in British Columbia, was Sir James Douglas.

Entertainment is provided by Cookeilidh and refreshments are included for the $12 ticket price. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the music starting at 7:30.

For advance tickets, call Lianne Hunter at 250-385-8744 or buy them at the door.
