Estevan village merchants will once again host a low-key Christmas gathering.
"It's just the merchants giving back to community, we're not trying to sell you stuff," said pharmacist Lesley Blackman of Estevan Pharmacy. Some shops, but not all may be open on Saturday, December 13 for the carolling event that starts at 7 p.m that St. Phillips church choir will lead. About 35 people attended the gathering last year that includes hot chocolate, apple cide, pop corn, cookies and candy canes being handed out. Santa will also make an appearance, Blackman said. Estevan Avenue will be lit up and store windows decorated.
