The Victoria Seals are in the midst of ten straight home games at Royal Athletic Park. The Sea-dogs host four games against the Tuscon Toros ending July 3, Edmonton Capitals for three, Saturday at 7 p.m., Sunday at 1:35 p.m. and a Monday nooner. Yuma Scorpions are here July 7-9.

Whistler tourney an all Island final

Victoria hockey players rose to the top of the major bantam division at the recent Whistler International All-Star Hockey Tournament.

The Island Stars defeated the Island Selects 5-3, with both teams featuring a number of Victoria skaters. Juan de Fuca goalie Steve Heslop started every game for the champion Stars.

All five Stars' goals in the final came from different players; Arjin Dosanjih, Josh Adkins, Jack Palmer, Nikola Rados and Nick Kala.

Vic-Esq. Eagles take first place

Let the journey begin. The Jr. B Vic.-Esquimalt Eagles lacrosse team enter the playoffs having finished first-place overall in the regular season.

The Eagles will now attempt to win their way to the provincials, to which they have an automatic bye should they need it. Provincials go July 31 to Aug. 2 at the Archie Browning Sports Centre.
