West Shore RCMP are investigating a possible home invasion that left a Langford man with a slashed face.

Police and paramedics responded to the call on Country Club Way on Bear Mountain around 11:30 p.m. Nov. 18. The 21-year-old victim stated he was walking home from a nearby gym when he was jumped by three unknown males who had a knife. The suspects were believed to have fled in a black vehicle.

Further investigation connected the assault to a possible home invasion at a home on Hannington Way. Three males are suspected of breaking into the home and injuring the victim there. The house is not owned by anyone involved in the incident and there were other people present, said Cpl. Gerry Sutherland.

"He had quite a large cut from close to the corner of the eye down to the centre of the chin," Sutherland said.

The suspects are described as a six foot tall aboriginal man, a short black man and a five foot 10 caucasian male.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-8752 or Crime Stoppers at 250-386-TIPS (8477).
