Symphony set to Splash
The Victoria Symphony Splash celebrates 20 years this summer on Sunday, August 2.
The Victoria Symphony and Bayview Residences are hosting the 20th Symphony Splash on Aug. 2.
For the past two decades Victoria’s top classical musicians have assembled within the Inner Harbour for a free concert that regularly draws thousands of people.
Featured this year in downtown Victoria will be Victoria Symphony’s musical director Tania Miller and the 2009 Young Soloist Performances.
This year’s featured performer is Sara Buechner, a Canadian pianist who has appeared in piano competitions everywhere from Belgium, Leeds and Salzburg to Sydney and Vienna.
Also set to be featured in the event is the Bayview Residences owners Ken and Patricia Mariash, and Splash Founder and past Victoria Symphony Society Board president Murray Glazier.
