The Belfry Theatre is set to kick off its next production featuring the direction and acting of the Beattie brothers.
Wingfield Lost and Found, which is directed by Doug Beattie and stars Rod Beattie as Walt Wingfield, opens on July 21 at the theatre. Rounding out the comedic trio is fellow boyhood friend, writer Dan Needles.
The play is the seventh in a series from the trio, and follows the residents of the mythical Persephone Township. Wingfield is a stockbroker turned farmer and Persephone Township’s worst drought in 25 years brings him face to face with climate change and his ecological footprint. Now married and with a baby daughter, Wingfield must contemplate his commitment to future generations.
