The 2010 Olympic Games Torch Relay makes its way through the West Shore this Friday and Saturday.

Friday, Oct. 30
View Royal
Start: 12:27 p.m. at Island Highway and Admirals Road.
Route: Island Highway to Helmcken Road, ending at Helmcken Centennial Park at 12:47 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 31
Metchosin
Start: 8:16 a.m. near the Metchosin muncipal hall on Happy Valley Road.
Route: Happy Valley Road to Metchosin Road, ending at Witty’s Beach Road at 8:25 a.m.
Colwood
Start: 8:32 a.m. at Metchosin Road and Cotlow Road.
Route: Metchosin Road to Benhomer Drive, right on Painter Road, left on Owens Road and right onto Wishart Road. The torch runner turns left onto Metchosin Road to Lagoon Road along Ocean Boulevard to Fort Rodd Hill by 9:15 a.m.
The torch relay is scheduled to reach Fisgard Lighthouse at 9:24 a.m. From Fort Rodd Hill the torch continues along Ocean Boulevard to Bear Mountain Arena at West Shore Parks and Recreation. From there it goes to Goldstream Avenue and passes into Langford at 10:33 a.m.
Langford
Start: 10:33 a.m. at Goldstream Avenue near Kingswood Road.
Route: Goldstream Avenue to Langford city hall at 10:46 a.m. and Spencer Road at 10:55 a.m. The torch relay resumes again in Mill Bay.
