Annual broom heli-lift at Mill Hill
Mill Hill Regional Park in Langford will be closed Thursday, Oct. 8 to allow removal of scotch broom by helicopter.

Galloping Goose closed in Colwood
The Galloping Goose regional trail between Wale and Atkins roads is closed for paving until the end of October.

Community Fire Drill today
Residents across the Capital Region are asked to create a home escape plan for the Community Fire Drill.
Local television stations are scheduled to broadcast the fire drill at 6:30 p.m., Oct. 7. People should conduct an escape plan and meet at a pre-determined point outside their home.
