RRU hosts Shop the Wild
There are potent aphrodisiacs lurking in local woods.
Growing through the underbrush are the key ingredients to a great dinner and the base of a healing salve. Find out what is what at the fourth annual Shop the Wild event at Royal Roads University this weekend.
More than 35 local producers will display their products at the market, showcasing everything from mushrooms to furniture.
Learn the difference between chanterelles and morel mushrooms, while uncovering which herbs grow in local woods. With tips from professional chefs, learn how to bring it all together.
Product sampling, along with live music and presentations will run throughout the event. Shop the Wild runs Oct. 3 to 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at the RRU's Mews Conference Centre, and admission is free.
