Dog attack upsetting

Dear editor,

On Sept. 22nd, I tied my dog up at Eagleridge Manor, a part of the Port Hardy Hospital. When I was just about to leave, two dogs belonging to a local man attacked my dog.

My dog was tied up short on the bench, these other dogs were tied together by two leashes. They both viciously jumped on my dog, taking large bits out of him.

Lisa, the ambulance attendant, was able to grab the dogs by their leash and pull them off.

The owner of the dogs saw this take place and has never contacted me to find out how my dog was, or if he needed treatment.

He has been informed as to the seriousness of this but still has not contacted me. This was a vicious attack and could have been a child.

Animal control was informed, but has not contacted me either.
