Find a hot job

PORT HARDY - Job trends in the North Island will be the focus of an informative workshop Oct. 23 at the Opportunity Zone.

“Find out where the hot jobs and opportunities are,” says a press release from North Island Employment Foundation Society (NIEFS), which operates the Opportunity Zone.

“Find out where there will be future economic growth,” it adds. “Whether you are looking for a job or deciding upon a career change, the information offered in this workshop could be critical to helping you target long-term work.

To make the right career decision, people must have the right information, says the release, and for people looking at changing their line of work the information must be informative, reliable, up-to-date and easily understandable, it adds.

The workshop will be held Thurs., Oct. 23, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and people can find out where the hot jobs and opportunities are and where there will be future economic growth.

People can register by calling 250-949-5736 or dropping into the Opportunity Zone for further information. This workshop is free to North Islanders who are unemployed or facing lay-off. The federal government has contributed funding.
