WILD SWING
On Wednesday morning, the Komox Canucks found out what it was like to score 19 runs. On Wednesday afternoon they found out what it was like to give up 19.
Such was the seesaw third day of round robin play for the local senior men’s baseball squad at the MSBL World Series in Phoenix, Arizona as they downed the Des Moines Bruins 19-12 only to fall 19-9 to the undefeated So-Cal Sundevils.
The results left the Canucks in third place in their tier of the 45 Central division with a 3-2 record. They finished up preliminary round play Thursday against the winless Omaha Black Sox, who they blew out 17-1 in their tourney opener.
