WEB EXTRA: Vulgar performance spoiled evening out
Dear editor,
I am one of a growing number of Comox Valley residents who are shocked and dismayed at the vulgar performance of the band Big Fun at the Whistle Stop Pub on Halloween night.
We’re dismayed because a group of women who attended the Halloween dance were among the audience insulted and assaulted by lyrics completely unbefitting the fine group of people who patronize said pub.
However, many of us will no longer be patronizing said establishment, and feel a public apology is in order from both the band Big Fun and the management of the Whistle Stop.
Since when did it become fun to be either the giver or receiver of such disgusting behaviour, and if that’s your idea of “funny,” I suggest you play something like Monster Mash instead.
J. Ferguson,
Courtenay
