Ronald Lawrence Leeson, 23, has been identified as the person killed in a single-vehicle accident Thursday night near Cumberland.
Anthony Lyle Jones, 19, also a resident of the Comox Valley, suffered serious internal injuries and was sent to Victoria for treatment, Comox Valley RCMP said Friday in a news release.
A 2006 Chevrolet left Comox Lake Road and rolled several times, said the RCMP, who were called to the scene at about 8:20 p.m.
Alcohol and/or speed might have contributed to the accident, the RCMP added in the release.
Const. D. Dormuth, a Campbell River traffic analyst, continues to investigate along with the Comox Valley detachment.
