It was in February when the Jenn Forsland Group played to a packed house at the Elks hall in Courtenay.

A concert this Thursday marks the combo’s first appearance in the 2009/10 series.

In addition to Forsland’s vocals, the group comprises Rick Husband, guitar; Ralph Barrat, keyboard; Al West, acoustic bass; Rob Peterson, drums, and Tony Morrison on tenor sax.

As well, you will be entertained and enthralled by the duets performed by Jen and Ralph; these two have perfected interplay in some of their numbers that brings laughter to the audience, including Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off, Gentle Rain, Makin’ Whoopie, and Cheek to Cheek.

Forsland’s lovely solo vocals will be backed by the fine instrumental jazz sounds of her five talented musicians.

Show time is 7:30 p.m. You are encouraged to come early for the best seating.
