Love, hate or paint the birds
Artists depictions of Crows, like these by Lucy Schappy and Jennifer Weber (above, from left), are part of show.
Crows and ravens — do you love them, or do you love to hate them?
No matter, here’s an event worth crowing about.
The Crow Show opens Oct. 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Magnolia Gallery in Cumberland (Third and Dunsmuir.) This is going to be a fun show! Artists will be in attendance (they will be the ones dressed in black).
Crow and raven art will be covering all walls, and perched throughout the gallery will be numerous other works in a variety of media, including metal sculpture, mosaic, ceramics, jewelry, and iconic art.
Participating artists include Carey Anderson, John Beder, Brian Buckrell, Alan Burgess, Cheryl Jacobs, David Kydd, Bentley LeBaron, April Lacheur, Gretchen Markle, Bruce Muir, Kira Neumann, Clive Powsey, Elaine Savoie, Lucy Schappy, Jennifer Weber, Teresa Wild and Carolyn Wood.
Meet the artists who have gone Raven Mad, enjoy their interpretations of these wily creatures, and support the Cumberland Community Forest Society at their cash bar.
