The newly formed Tourette Syndrome Family Support Circle will meet on Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Queneesh Elementary School in Courtenay.

Tourette Syndrome is a neurological disorder characterized by tics and often associated with other issues such as ADHD, anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and learning disabilities. It is estimated that TS occurs in approximately one per cent of the population.

As we learn to understand and support our family members with TS, we can help them live more comfortable and satisfying lives. This can have benefits for the entire family.

The Tourette Syndrome Family Support Circle will meet regularly to learn about TS from each other and community professionals. Support is also available to family members and caregivers.

The school is at 2345 Mission Rd.

For more information or if you require child care during the meeting, call 250-338-9969.
