The Autobody Bantam Tyees started the Tiering round for the 2009/2010 season last weekend at Strathcona Gardens Arena.

On Saturday, playing against the Tier 1 Nanaimo Clippers, the Tyees kept the game close until midway thru the second period. Nanaimo opened the game up, and went on to win.

On Sunday, the Tyees played against Juan de Fuca Grizzlies. Again, the Tyees started well, and the game stayed close thru the second period. In the third, the Grizzlies scored three unanswered goals on route to the victory.

The Tyees played both games missing four regular skaters. Head coach Dan Hagen, along with assistant coaches Brad Norton and Bob Radford, will be preparing the Tyees this week, for the next Tiering game against the Oceanside Generals, on Sunday in Parksville.
