Thanks for driving cautiously and safely during Hydro work
Published: October 02, 2008 5:00 PMOn behalf of BC Hydro, I would like to thank our customers and the wider community for their patience and understanding during the Sept. 20 planned power outage.
This important improvement work took place along the highway out to the Village of Sayward.
The work was a big success with approximately 18 BC Hydro and contractor crews, or over 55 people, working along the circuit.
The planned outage allowed BC Hydro crews to do more work, and most importantly, do it safely. Many improvements and efficiencies were made and the project exceeded our expectations.
The circuit is now more resilient.
Single-lane traffic was located in various places, and people travelling along the highway were courteous, and most of all, drove safely when going past our crews.
BC Hydro hopes that you act the same when BC Hydro crews are responding to power outages this coming storm season.
Once again, thank you for driving cautiously and safely around crews and we regret the planned outage to our customers.
Stephen Watson
