Over the past two years the global economy has been shaken and communities like Campbell River have felt the shock.

Over the next few years, opportunities will arise across a range of industry sectors, trades and occupations.

While some new jobs will be the result of economic growth, many of these positions will become vacant due to attrition. With the baby boom generation entering retirement and the birth rate declining, it is expected that by 2011, for the first time in history, the number of people leaving the workforce will exceed the number entering it.

To find out where the openings will be and what training is required; North Island Employment (NIEFS) invites you to attend Looking Forward, a career expo focused on the future Thursday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Robron Centre.

For more information call 250-286-3441.
