I am now 76 years old and by following the simple directions, have no difficulty driving through the roundabout intersection smoothly and without the unnecessary delay of waiting for a light to change.
Because of the practical, progressive planning of our mayor and council the residents of Qualicum Beach can look at their town with pride, rather than with the dismay faced by disheartened neighbours of large beachfront developments that some towns and cities have accepted.
I really don’t know if I can credit good luck or good management for having chosen 20 years ago to live in Qualicum Beach rather than any other community — but whichever it was, I’m very glad we did.
