Good news from city council
Published: July 03, 2008 7:00 PMThe decision to slow down development in Parksville and place a hold on new development applications is an exciting step forward.
This may be a sign of positive changes to look forward to in Parksville and Oceanside — changes that have the potential to benefit our land base and all residents in numerous ways.
Hopefully this will also inspire more involvement of area residents to work together to build a self-sustaining, low carbon consumptive healthy community.
Other communities on the Island suffering from over population, aggressive developers, and damaged ecosystems shall hopefully take notice of Parksville’s new initiative and begin implementing new economic and environmental alternatives of their own.
