A Parksville man faces charges after a three-vehicle pile-up on Highway 4A Friday.
Oceanside RCMP Corporal Garry Cox said the crash happened at 4 p.m. when a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign at Bellview Road and hit another vehicle.
“That vehicle was pushed by the impact into the oncoming lane of traffic,” Cox said. “It was then involved in a head-on collision with a third vehicle, which was a pickup truck.”
All three vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged, but there were no serious injuries to the occupants.
As a result, a 49-year-old Parksville man faces charges of failing to yield at an intersection.
