On Wednesday, November 11, at 11 a.m., people in Oceanside and across Canada will listen to their own thoughts of remembrance during a minute of silence to pay tribute to the country's veterans and war dead.

Remembrance Day ceremonies take place in Parksville, Qualicum Beach and Bowser, and people are encouraged to turn out to honour those who have served - or who are currently serving - Canada in times of conflict and in peacekeeping missions worldwide.

On Tuesday, Nov. 10, The News presents its annual Remembrance Day feature, profiling local veterans and soldiers currently serving our country. Pick up a copy to read these inspiring stories and to find out when and where the Remembrance Day ceremonies are being held in Oceanside.
