The Nanaimo Timbermen junior B lacrosse team created all kinds of excitement last season, rewarding big crowds with a playoff run.
Now the Pacific North West Junior Lacrosse League team wants to start building momentum for the coming year.
The team’s major fundraiser is coming up this Sunday (Feb. 7) with a Super Bowl party. The bash at the Cavallotti Lodge includes dinner and prizes including a wide-screen high-definition television.
Doors open at 1 p.m. and the game kicks off at 3:15 p.m. For tickets, please call 250-758-8971.
LACROSSE TALK … In other club news, Farren Ferguson has been named general manager. “With our returning players, coaching staff, management and our board of directors, our sights need to be set higher than just making the playoffs,” he said.
