Clippers meet Vees in challenging game
Most any Nanaimo Clippers fan will remember the last time the Nanaimo Clippers and the Penticton Vees played at Frank Crane Arena. It was Game 4 of the B.C. Hockey League finals April 9, 2008, when the visitors won 4-0 to sweep the home team and hoist the Fred Page Cup.
Tonight (Oct. 24) is the first time the teams meet back at the scene of the crime. Some things have changed; some haven’t.
“We know they’re real good, we know they’re real deep, we know they’re real skilled,” said Bill Bestwick, Clippers coach. “They have excellent puck possession and puck management.”
GAME ON … The Clippers and Vees face off tonight at 7:30 p.m.
