Roy Cardinal, president of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 257, left, delivers $5,000 to Jim Crist, a board director with Nanaimo and District Hospital Foundation. The gift will support palliative care at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Since 1999, the Lantzville legion donated $31,357 to improve health care on central Vancouver Island.
