It seemed at times that Lake Cowichan Peewee Lakers goalie Justin Fournier was facing a firing squad, but he didn’t flinch and made many great saves in the Lakers loss to Cowichan Valley on Sunday. Despite this two-on-none play, Cowichan Valley didn’t score.

The Lake Cowichan Peewee Lakers took it on the chin against Cowichan Valley on Sunday, losing 6-1.

Lakers Justin Fournier was outstanding between the pipes, often making two or three saves in a row for the home team.

Nelson Wagner gave the Lakers’ fans something to cheer about late in the game, scoring on a nifty move between two defencemen.

Rylan Mayea assisted.
