'Crazy' drivers clocked going 153 km/hr

Three new drivers, all 17 years of age, were clocked going 153 km/hr down Highway 18 towards Lake Cowichan, the evening of Friday, August 27.

The youth, two from Lake Cowichan and one from Victoria, were spotted by a resident of Youbou at approximately 11:30 p.m., traveling at the excessive rate of speed. Two members of the Lake Cowichan RCMP then made patrols of the highway in search of the speeding vehicles, catching the three, driving tandem, towards Lake Cowichan.
