Morgan Kinahan plays just about every sport her busy time schedule will allow. Kinahan, 16, a Grade 11 student at Chemainus Secondary School, recently won a silver medal with the B.C. bantam girls’ baseball team in Ontario. She has limited baseball experience, but learned a lot as part of the high-profile team. Kinahan is currently attending softball tryouts in Nanaimo in preparation for next season. She’s also played volleyball, basketball and soccer and “I’m joining track this year,’’ she announced. Kinahan is a member of the Under 17-18 Mid-Island girls’ soccer team in Ladysmith. “My favourite sport is a toss-up between volleyball and basketball,’’ she said. “Volleyball is probably my best.’’ She’s due to move up to midget baseball next season, dependent on numbers.
