The Nanaimo Art Gallery in conjunction with Vancouver Island University Arts and Design Department present an artists talk with Nixie Barton and Grant Leier on Tuesday, November 10th, from 6:30-8:00pm.
The talk will take place at the Gallery’s 900 Fifth Street location, building 330.
Nixie Barton and Grant Leier are Vancouver Island artists who live and work in Yellow Point. They have both been incorporating text, to some extent, in their work for many years. They have developed a body of new work that makes use of letters, words, and text as integral components of the paintings. These major new pieces are presented in the joint exhibition that runs at the Nanaimo Art Gallery campus location until November 14th.
