LADYSMITH— Due to the tremendous success of the Leadership BC Ladysmith and Nanaimo programs we have decided to join our resources, merging to provide a program to Central Vancouver Island communities.

Leadership BC Ladysmith:

· has had three very successful years

· has graduated 47 Leaders of Tomorrow

· completed 8 successful Community Projects

Leadership BC Nanaimo

· has had four very successful years

· has graduated over 60 Leaders of Tomorrow

· completed 14 successful Community Projects

Leadership BC began as a project through the BC Chamber of Commerce. With a vision of the future, they identified a pressing need for training and preparing succession leaders, as the baby boomer population will extract a large percentage of our existing community leaders.

Leadership BC CVI Mission:

To develop and enhance leadership skills in central Vancouver Island communities by providing collaboratively and effectively, an annual leadership program with a community project component.

LEADERSHIP BC CVI – will continue a relationship with the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce in the growth year. The program will continue to support community initiatives in local communities from Nanaimo and Ladysmith. The five year plan is to extend Leadership development into communities north of the Malahat.
