Vic Lindal is on a crusade to save people from Adult Adventure Deficit Disorder.

The former National Women’s Volleyball coach will be speaking at a special Toastmasters event at Transfer Beach in Ladysmith on Tuesday, July 7 at 6:30 p.m.  Lindal is sharing a speech titled The best do what the rest are not prepared to do.

The former sports consultant, teacher and broadcaster practices what he preaches.  He completed an ironman triathalon when he was 50, and recently went on an extensive scuba diving trip to Indonesia.  His commitment to staying fit for the adventure earned him a profile in June’s Senior Living Magazine.

Ladysmith author Rachel Dunstan Muller will also be featured at the outdoor speaking event.  Muller has published three children’s novels, and will be sharing a moving story set in Ireland at the time of the Great Famine.

This event is free and open to the public.
