Local McDonald’s Franchisees, Wayne and Brenda Krawchuk, are expanding their franchise to include four restaurants in Duncan, Ladysmith and Mill Bay. The Krawchuks have operated five restaurants in Nanaimo since April 2008.
The McDonald’s restaurants under new ownership include the following:
5883 Trans Canada Hwy, Duncan, BC
3020 Drinkwater Rd., Duncan, BC
32 - 370 Island Hwy, Ladysmith, BC
2730 Barry Road, Mill Bay, BC
“I’m thrilled to be a Franchisee in Duncan, Ladysmith and Mill Bay," said Krawchuk. "I am looking forward to giving back to the community and helping ensure our customers and staff have the best experience possible at their local McDonald's."
Wayne’s career with McDonald’s began in 1979 when he worked as a Crew Member.
He went on to work in accounting at the Vancouver McDonald’s office before moving to Toronto to take on the role of Director of Strategic Planning. Wayne moved once again to McDonald’s headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois, where he became a Senior Director in the Global Consumer and Business Insights area. Most recently, Wayne was positioned in the UK as Vice President of Business Strategy and Insights.
During his 29 years with McDonald’s, Wayne has received a number of prestigious awards, including the Golden Maple Leaf Award, the President’s Award, as well as many team awards. McDonald’s UK also recognized the contributions Wayne made to the company and brand when they presented him with the “Three Legged Stool Award” in 2007.
