Sixth straight loss for the Caps

The Cowichan Valley Capitals' losing streak has reached six games.
The Caps dropped a 3-2 B.C. Hockey League decision Saturday night at Cowichan Arena in what was also the team's fifth straight defeat at home.
The Caps had a decent start against the Clippers despite giving up an early goal to Cody Bremner and outshot them 7-3 in the first period that ended in a 1-1 tie when defenceman Shayne Taker sent a point shot past Loic Boivin late in the period.
Miraculously, the Caps made one of just three shots count in the second period when Anthony Perdicaro scored. The Clippers peppered Alexandre Peck, but he stopped all 22 shots he faced.
Defenceman Sam Waterfield tied it for the Clippers at 7:38 of the final period and Teal Burns notched the winner, a bit of a softy on Peck after he made so many great saves, with only 3:22 left in regulation time.
The Caps had a paltry 14 shots on goal for the game.
Attempts at ending the skid will be made on the road Tuesday at Alberni Valley.
If the Caps hope to make up ground, this is the month to do it. Five of their remaining seven games in November are at Cowichan Arena.
However, the team is just 3-9 after 12 home games this season.
Next home action is Saturday at 7:30 p.m. against the equally-struggling Burnaby Express.
