Parmar getting ready to bask in the Florida sunshine with Super-Y team

Cowichan’s Julia Parmar, pictured, is sure to have a super time for 10 days starting Nov. 16 and will probably need a little extra water while playing soccer in the Florida sunshine.

Parmar is a member of the island team, along with four other local girls, that’s heading to Tampa to play in the Super-Y Soccer League’s North American finals.

Parmar has played in the Cowichan Valley Soccer Association for seven years. She played Super-Y during the spring and summer with the island team and it placed second in its division to earn the berth in the North American tournament.

Parmar plays defence on the Super-Y team and is currently with the Under 15 Metro side in Nanaimo, the highest level for her age group.

The girls are all looking forward to a great experience.
