Thomas records her first two goals of the season for Louisville
Amber Thomas hit the scoresheet with her first two U.S. collegiate field hockey goals.
Cowichan product Amber Thomas, pictured, recently scored her first two goals as a U.S. collegiate field hockey player.
Thomas recorded second-half goals 10 minutes apart, as the No. 16-ranked Louisville Cardinals destroyed St. Louis 13-0 at Fenton, Missouri.
Thomas came into the game as a substitute and fired three shots on goal, converting two of them.
It’s been a bit of an adjustment for Thomas going from the Cowichan Secondary School T-Birds to Louisville.
It’s been tough for her not being a starter, but she’s continuing to work hard to earn more playing time on a Louisville team loaded with talented forwards.
Receiving the best training possible, combined with her education, is sure to make Thomas a valuable commodity for the Cardinals for years to come.
