Duncan’s Brooks Robinson, pictured, and Ryne Bodger are setting a lofty early scoring pace with their new teams in the B.C. Hockey League.
Robinson, who started last season with the Powell River Kings before going to the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Grande Prairie Storm, is now with the Prince George Spruce Kings. He’s leading the team in scoring after five games with three goals and three assists, on pace for a 72-point season.
Bodger also began last season with the Kings and is now a member of the Merritt Centennials. He had two goals in Merritt’s season-opening 4-2 victory over Ladysmith resident Jim Ingram’s Trail Smoke Eaters and is on pace for a 60-goal season with two goals in two games now.
Bodger visits Cowichan Arena with the Centennials Nov. 20 and Robinson with the Spruce Kings Jan. 29 of 2010.
