This we like
Cowichan is home to among the highest per capita population of artists in Canada.
But even in this cauldron of talent, the skill and vision of Arthur Vickers consistently bubbles to the top.
His latest work, The Leadership Desk, will be a legacy for generations and a lasting source of pride.
What a gift to the people of British Columbia
This we don’t
With its limited resources at the moment, we understand the province has bigger fish to fry than local government restructure.
That said, it is unfortunate this will put the brakes on talks in the Cowichan Lake area aimed at merging the town of Lake Cowichan and the two neighbouring rural areas into a single municipality. We hope they can somehow keep the momentum going.
