Police are investigating the discovery of a body on the beach in Mill Bay.
A school bus driver was on Mill Bay Road when she noticed something unusual on the shore early Tuesday morning.
She called police who raced to the scene. Shawnigan Lake RCMP confirmed they had recovered the body of a local woman, but added foul play has been ruled out as a cause.
No other details were available Tuesday afternoon.
