Triple Juno winner Kaldor ventures across the country for Duncan show
Connie Kaldor
Triple Juno Award-winning songwriter Connie Kaldor brings her insightfully upbeat music to the Duncan Garage Showroom Saturday at 8 p.m.
The Order of Canada recipient will perform tunes from her nine albums and perhaps include some from the three kids’ discs for which she won Junos.
Despite accolades for children’s songs, Kaldor directs much of her music toward adults.
Kaldor, 56, graduated with a theatre degree from the University of Alberta in 1976.
The Regina native performed with various theatre groups until ’79 when she started a full-time music career.
In 1981 she founded her independent record label Coyote Entertainment.
The Montrealer also co-wrote the theme song for the animated TV series based on the comic strip For Better or For Worse.
Her song Wanderlust was covered by Cosy Sheridan.
Tickets to Kaldor’s Cowichan gig are $30 at 250-748-7246.
