The Smitty’s/Best Western Barclay Hotel Peewee Bulldogs pulled out a win on home ice against the Cowichan Valley Tier 1 team, Saturday at the Multiplex.
Cowichan Valley jumped to a two-goal lead in the first period. At 7:20 of the second period Cowichan scored their third goal.
Down by three goals, the Bulldogs didn’t give up and scored two quick goals 30 seconds apart to bring the home team to within one.
The third period saw the Bulldogs tie up the game at 14:59 and with 1:06 left score the go-ahead goal. Final score: 4-3 Bulldogs.
On Sunday the Bulldogs travelled to Duncan to play Cowichan Valley’s Tier 2 team. After a slow offensive start the Dogs scored a late second-period goal and three third period goals to win 4-2.
