H&R Block robbed in Port Alberni

On Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008 at approximately 3:25 p.m., Port Alberni RCMP responded to an armed robbery at the H & R Block office located on Third Avenue.

A lone male had entered the office armed with a knife and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, RCMP Staff Sgt. Lee Omilusik said.

The male was described as wearing a blue jean jacket with all white sleeves. His face was covered and he was wearing a hat.

“He approached the employee on duty and demanded cash and subsequently left the building,” Omilusik said.

Police patrols failed to locate the suspect.
